I would like to write about the horrifying experience we are having with them. Communication with Mr. Tathagata Dutta and Mr. Rahil Khan from Thrillophilia.
We had contacted them to understand the plan along with the cost. This was my friend's first Schengen trip. They asked us to pay an advance amount along with visa assistance fees. They were aware that this was the first Schengen visa application for my friend. They assured us that all bookings with advance payment shall be made for refundable hotels and refundable activities. In the worst case scenario of visa getting rejected, they will refund the amount in Thrillo wallet. We trusted them as we thought Thrillophillia is a trustworthy organisation.
Visa assistance: They assured that they would provide full assistance for Visa for which they charged an additional amount. This was additional to actual visa fees at VFS Global. Unfortunate cycle of events started just after we made the payment. The assistance they provided was extremely bad with us constantly following up for the documents which we required to submit at VFS Global at time of appointment. They were providing us documents till the date of appointment for which we literally had to run at the last moment (providing us with the last document at 2.00 am before the appointment).
They assured me that they would help us out since it was the first time for my friend considering that they allegedly had prior experience of handling first time visa scenarios for Nordics. They never told us that we may get a surprise call or query or to be prepared for such kind of situations (they had charged for this special assistance). Visa got rejected for the first time. When we approached them with the response from the embassy stating that information submitted in application was not reliable, they had no clue what to do further. They asked us to again apply for a second time that too for Norway. They did not rectify the error and just went ahead with the same documents (They charged again for “special visa assistance”). The submission was very haphazard with a lot of mistakes. Still, we hoped for positive news. Visa got rejected again.
We immediately started communicating with Thrillophilia to cancel bookings and initiate refunds. No response from them for messages, mail or call. We were literally running from their different departments just to initiate a refund. After n number of follow ups we got mail that since it is now less than 30 days before the trip date, they will not refund any amount. We were left shocked. The efforts, time and money which we had put here was wasted by their team. Misleading and unreliable team. Still, we are waiting for resolution and for all the mental trauma they caused to us.
We have put our hard-earned money trusting Thrillophilia. I would never be able to go with Thrillophilia for any future travel or neither I am going to recommend anyone.
