I purchased a Thomson UD9 102cm(40 inches) Ultra HD(4K) LED Smart TV(40TH1000) from Flipkart in October 2019 for Rs. 17817. So I first contacted Hotstar and they informed me that their application is not tested on Thomson TV so they cannot guarantee playback.
Hence I raised a complaint with Thomson via email On Dec 21. On Dec 28th I received an email asking to reset the TV and reinstall the application. I tried those steps again, but it still didn’t work.
On Jan 6th, they again asked me to reinstall the app using a Pendrive on the TV. It didn’t work either.
Again sent an email on Jun 25th to check if they have any update which might fix this issue. On Jun 26th received an email from support@thomsontv.in to share the vide of the error message on TV.

On Jun 30th, he assigned a technician visit to check and the tech arrived on Jul 1. The technician didn’t know about the issue and I had to again repeat the issue and explain to him from the start.
He tried resetting the TV etc and it still didn’t work. He said he will need to load new software and check, if that doesn’t work he will change the PCB. Since he didn’t have the software he said he will visit again with the software. Till this date Aug 15th, I haven’t heard from the technician.
I have been receiving emails from Jeeves that a technician is assigned, then another day I receive a message with the appointment time. But the technician didn’t arrive except once.
recently I have been receiving messages stating ‘ as per our communication, we have rescheduled the appointment to XYZ date and time.’ BUT THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ME AND JEEVES.
I believe Flipkart product listing has all fake/paid reviews for the brands which are available exclusively with them. For such a TV and after-sales experience, this TV should not have more than a 2-star rating on the Flipkart website. I had purchased a 3 yr complete protection plan which has a 40% buyback value guarantee. But this option is not available on any product. The support team says I don’t have that plan purchased. I am attaching the invoices for reference.
Hope someone will take responsibility and help fix this issue ASAP.
