The Times of India has got to be the most overrated and hyped newspaper in India. There are too many advertisements and the literary content is average at the most.
The coverage devoted to International news - both general and sports - is negligible. The paper is more interested in gossip and Page 3 events. The coverage of Sports needs to be drastically improved. Newspapers like The Asian Age and even the Indian Express are far better in this regard.
As far as local (Indian) news is concerned, the state wide coverage is also poor and too much importance is given to Maharashtra news. That is not the job of a so called National Newspaper !!
It is obvious that they are relying on past laurels and that is why their circulation figures are still high.
They should pull up their socks fast because they are complacent and arrogant and it is showing in their pathetic quality and coverage.
