This show is about as realistic as the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. The practice is as much about law as Jerry McGuire is about football. It is a show that patronizes their audience, assuming that they can pull our leg because we know nothing about the law. After a few episodes, we come only to one conclusion, they dont either!

I agree with the previous comment that the attorneys in the practice represent some of the most hideous stereotypes about law and lawyers. The firm they work would take any client, no matter how seemingly ridiculous their case are. The producers, writers, and directors go out of their way to prove that they are right, and everyone who goes against them are wrong, legally corrupt.

This is a common argumentative strategy: frame your opponent's viewpoint at the worst possible manner, so that it becomes easier for your to take them down. The sad part is the we can see right through it, despite the numerous allusions about sex between firm partners that they try.

There are a lot of lawyer shows on T.V., heck theres a lot of lawyers in real life. The harsh reality is that most of the legal work entail the tedious process of discovery. There are endless paperwork involved, and young attorneys usually sit in offices for 12 hours a day, slaving over a tiny piece of the case that would not amount to much anyway. To legal fanatics, NBC's Law and Order seems pretty realistic (take away the drama, their legal theories seem accurate). But dont waste your time on a show about a team of corrupt lawyers who pretend to be moral and pretend to know the law.
