The key takeaway that I got from this book is that if I allow around 4 hours of my time every day to do the one thing that would make my other tasks easier, then those tasks would just fall into place. I don't need to have the illusion of multitasking.
Considering the things that I've gained and accomplished at my work by doing this, I'd say it's effective in some ways. It's really hard to say how much since as much as I want to stick to this one thing, there are always a few times that something else that needs my attention.
