Buying a dream home is aspirational but designing and decorating your home like you’ve visualized forever, could be an arduous task. We all have a vision of how we’d decorate our home, make it a safe haven and a place we’d love to come back to, each day. Buying a house is like completing Level One and only to realize that you have 99 more levels to go and the complexity rises at every level. Our search now began for someone who would be viable, desirable, flexible, and understand our personalities and reflect that onto our home. We looked at multiple options, did our R&D, spoke to folks who’ve got their interiors done earlier and at the end of the day, there was nothing but disorganized chaos in our head.
Call it serendipity, but we chanced upon ‘The Karighars’ on Instagram. The page impressed us so much that we reached out to Abhishek Chadha, the Founder & CEO. Since then, there was simply no looking back. At the risk of sounding clichéd, a first impression does make a lasting impression and that’s how we will always remember Abhishek. He floored us with his understanding of the subject, clarity of thought, and most importantly transparency at all levels. From Day 1 he understood what we were looking for, gave us practical solutions and suggestions and things started to fall in place. We had just one condition, we needed our interiors to be done from scratch and be delivered in under 3 months. We were anticipating some hesitation on this front from him but he assured us that this was doable. We met up multiple times to finalize the designs, saw 3D renders, and his personal attention to the project was commendable.
The work started mid-August and things started shaping up and not just began but took off like a rocket aimed for the moon. It won’t be an exaggeration if we say that we were not only surprised but shocked to see the pace at which things were happening. Each and every product used in the construction and design was as per what was promised. No compromise on the usage of high-quality products, guarantee of longevity, and adapting to our last minute minor changes with a smile, made this process a memorable one for us. 3 months was what we had asked for and now comes the shocker – Abhishek and his team, handed over the entire home, cleaned and sanitized, 5 days before the date he said he would, and on October 20th, we had the home to ourselves! I know not of even one design company that has pre-delivered on a promise. I have friends who kept telling me that their designers have either messed up designs, delayed the project, added additional costs, or not used products that were promised and even compromised on quality. The Karighars might be considered as premium by market standards but their professionalism, attention to detail, delivering on a promise, and attitude are unmatched. They’re always a phone or a message away and response is more prompt than anything you’ve ever seen before. We considered ourselves very lucky that we got in touch with The Karighars, the process was smooth, we didn’t have to worry for most parts, we got the flexibility of choice and our dream project is now a reality that we’re nested in. Ayub: Our on-site Project Manager who took up everything seamlessly once the design phase was over. He was around to instruct and get the team to deliver exactly what was rendered on 3D designs. Ayub, a heartfelt thank you for your efforts in being a part of making our dream a reality.
Ravi & Team: The man behind the team of ace-craftsmen who can convert a lifeless piece of wood into a great piece of art. His team gave life to our project and always had a view and suggestion on how we can keep improvising. Hats off to him and his team of skilled artists who molded this house and made it a ‘home’.
Abhishek: Who isn’t just our designer anymore but more of a 1 AM friend, who we know we can call anytime and bank upon. This was never just a business deal for him, it was always a relationship and all of that showed in his commitment to us. Words might fall short to thank you but you do know that we are indeed grateful.
What can be better – we thought a lot but they tick all the boxes so we’re happy customers, smiling ear to ear.
When we first walked into the empty house we had purchased in July, we knew how we wanted it to be. And once again, when we walked in on the day of handover, our happiness knew no bounds, as it was exactly how we saw it in our dreams.
