This children film is a big hit and a decent formula for making some good money. It looks so very real and I must say the credit should go to the Director - Jon Favreau.(His previous films were: Iron Man-I & II). Some shots are excellent and so breathtaking that this is what you would love about the film.
The movie will keep you glued to the seats right from the word go - as various animals keep jumping on to you out of the screen - something the kids would love(make sure they are not too small and hence not scared).
If you are aware this is an old popular story from the Rudyard Kepiling's classics. There are same characters as one would have heard of them earlier, Raksha, Bagheera, Baloo and Sher Khan who gets a talking role in the film and he is the one to be scared of in the film. The story is about Sher Khan wanting Mowgli to be out of the jungle and how he fights it out. The climax is the final showdown between the two.
Neel Sethi is awesome as Mougli and has done a laudable job. The jungle song which he and Balu sings is sure to bring back the memories.
It runs little above 1.5 hrs and is totally worthy to be given a try.
