The Bucket List
Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson
How important is your life? Are you having fun, right now,
at this very minute? And before you kick the bucket, do you think that you'll look back and see yourself really happy with what you did with your life? Well, there are 2 guys
who star in this movie, who really had a few things to do on their bucket list:
quite correctly, a list of things to do, before you kick the bucket. And that’s
how, right now “live like you were dying” taking a leaf from Tim McGraw, we all
really need to get out there and do things that we really want to do.
The Bucket list, is about all that and definitely more. If
you’d know that you rather have said or done something, right here, right now.
Well, you should go on and do it. What if your fate decided to take a turn…well
wait a minute.right now, aren’t YOU the one deciding YOUR fate? It’s just that
simple isn’t it? Grabbing the opportunity, making the most of now, as the Vodafone
ads tell you. Well, when was the last time you did something for the first
time, as Emirates tell you. Or “Life is calling, where are you?”as Smirnoff,
puts it. Well?
If these questions have got you thinking…then when you watch
this movie, you will know where all these reflecting thoughts are coming from.
Even though Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson are having a whale of a time,
before they kick the bucket of course, they discover new things about
themselves. A little bit more about love and faith. A little bit more, because
at least they are trying. There are innumerable things you’d like to do. Then I hope
you are doing it right now, coz no one sees that tomorrow. It’s good to have a
plan, well remember the bucket list, worked out for both these guys;)
So get your list, plans, and your resolutions in order.
Here comes a movie that will leave a few tears, but
definitely make you connect with the world, back again.
Will now add on the remarkable quotes courtesy: imdb.com*
Edward Cole:
Here's something to remember when you're older Thomas - never pass up a
bathroom, never waste a hard-on, and never trust a f*rt.
Thomas: I'll remember
that when I start "decrepitating" sir.*
*Carter
Chambers**: Forty-five years go by pretty fast.
Edward Cole: Like
smoke through a keyhole.*
*Carter
Chambers**: Even now I cannot understand the measure of a life, but I can
tell you this. I know that when he died, his eyes were closed and his heart was
open. And I'm pretty sure he was happy with his final resting place, because he
was buried on the mountain. And that was against the law.
I really like the soundtrack:There's this song by John Mayer, thought I'd put the lyrics here:
Take all of your wasted honor.
Every little past frustration.
Take all of your so called problems,
Better put'em in quotations.
Say what you need to say(x8)
Walkin' like a one man army,
Fightin' with the shadows in your head.
Livin' up the same old moment
Knowin' you'd be better off instead
If you could only.Say what you need to say(x8)
Have no fear for givin' in.
Have no fear for giving over.
You better know that in the end
It's better to say too much, than never to say what you need to say again.
Even if your hands are shaking,
And your faith is broken.
Even as the eyes are closin',
Do it with a heart wide open.
(Wide Heart)
Say what you need to say(x7)
Say what you need to, Say what you need to.
Say what you need to say.
