Story:

The book of secrets is a good book based on stolen diary. The readability of this book is good and easy to understand. The story covers in this book is about stolen diary of British administrator, sir Alfred Corbin, who arrived in mombasa in 1913. Many years later, diary is found in the dark backroom of shop and shown to pius Fernandes, retired schoolteacher living in Dar es Salam, who decide to recreat the world described by the book. This is a haunting book, spanning generation and key moment of East Africa history. It introduce memorable character Mariamu, the mysterious girl who meets a tragic end. Pipa her husband who never discovered whether or not Ali. This book offers viewpoint of influence of big power on local communities in East Africa history.
