At every phase or state of mental being, he encounters with the King of Salem, The Crystal Merchant, The English Man, Desert Girl and the Alchemist. His dreams are his map to the treasure. The map with landmarks and premonitions in the form of signs and omens helps Santiago look for the treasure. Does he find it?

My Humble Thoughts, vis-à-vis the book

Interspersed within each conversation, every sentence is a gem which reflect the light of ones own quest. In search of true self, we journey far and wide , the answer lies close, and it’s within. From the heart comes the voice of optimism and says :
Untangle the knots of ignorance, with instinctual intelligence.
In simplicity, one can find truth, but one needs to appreciate the multi-faceted nature of it.
Probability of possibility is a chance...
Failures are stepping stones to success, each one leads us to the ultimate destination , weighed down , but enlightened.
In search for self, one forays into the unknown, on a roller-coaster of broken myths and pearls of wisdom. One finally ends on the road of philosophy to tread the path of meaningful life and fulfillment.
Dreams and Goals are elements of nature embedded in the matrix of sustenance each providing its own meaning and purpose.
Love improvises the being from inside, the heart grows wider to accommodate varied emotions and the vision broadens beyond singularity.
Individual actions or reactions make up the destiny of self, it is not fate or luck, and one needs to never lose sight of the ultimate goal, happiness.
The author on the pretext of telling a great adventure gives us an insight into life’s little lessons in the most simplistic way and manages to keep you glued to the book of very little pages. Once done with book one would feel the urge to give it another read to let the essence sink in. It can be compared to the stories told by one’s mom or grandma who ultimately has a great moral or learning to impart.
This book is an absolute must read. It’s a literary treasure for every reader, a treasure that should be owned…So, dream of reading and make it materialize by reading it...
