Story:

The reason I chose to read this book was because of it's length which is just over 150 pages and the fact that I had heard so much about it.

As soon as I began to read this book, I thought that the book is very heavy on philosophy yet believable.Read this: "People need not fear the unknown if they are capable of achieving what they need and want."

"Its not what enters men’s mouth that’s evil, it’s what comes out of their mouth that is."

The author wasted no time on appetizers. The story came to the point and picked up pace in no time. The strong, profound ideas presented brilliantly byCoelho sure get you thinking. Although the story is based hundreds of years ago, the ideas still reflect upon the modern world as we live in.

As soon as you start reading the book, you get so engrossed in the world created byCoelho that you just cannot put the book down. But then midway through the book, the story becomes somewhat unbelievable and drowsy and perplexing and it looks as if the author is out of good ideas. The philosophical ideas that are given now become irrelevant and surreal.Yet by this time, you are so engrossed in the book that you manage to ignore some of its drawbacks and continue to read further.Fortunately, the author comes back on track in no time and makes the book nothing less than a pure classy classic.

The young boy here is so innocent that you feel for him and his journey will relate to everybody's lives in a way or other. The book may sometimes make you regret your decision that you either made or did not make. It, at times just pierces your heart with an emotional dagger. In short, the emphasis of the book lies in how an ordinary boy lives with hope, faith, desires and the conviction to follow them that makes the person extraordinary.

In short, this is a wholesome package with low movements here and there but on whole, this is the bookyou just got to read as a reader. If this book doesn't make sense at first, read it again, cause you will discover something new every time you read it..This book belongs to types of books which you always want to have in your bookshelf to read.

P.S. This book may be "heavy" for some people to read
