Thailand's a great place to visit.Whether its on work or for leisure. There's plenty of reasons why.
1.The exchange rate is great- rupee is almost equal to the baht...so you can actually shop and convert while you are at it-and still feel you are getting a great deal.
and Everythings on sale-always!
2.The people are fantastic-polite and courteous
3.The Amari hotels(I would have put Amari at the top-but if it weren't for a good exchange rate-this would be redundant. And 2 in a way makes for a great 3!)
The Amari chain are a 4 star deluxe range of hotels in Thailand present in tourist and commercial hubs.
-------
Half the charm of the holiday is in the room you come back to at the end of a long day of sightseeing or shopping...a great hotel is one you don't feel like leaving...but you always want to come back to...
The Amari is just that sort of hotel.
Wake up to the sound of the waves crashing outside your sea theme room at the Amari Coral in Phuket or look out onto the Bangkok skyline and down onto the 4th floor swimming pool in the Amari Atrium in Bangkok.
Housekeeping makes the cleaning of a room an art form...you retrun to fresh sheets and orchids on your pillow...when you dine at one of the restaurants the bill is accompanied by a cold towel and an orchid on a wooden tray...its the little things that matter...your welcome drink is served to you at a lovely lobby bar...and everyone is all smiles all the time...service is efficient yet subtle...
The in room menus are of 2 types..one which is your standard room service menu..the other a theme menu....depending on which property you stay at..it could even be a hollywood theme menu!
The facilities are excellent and rooms come with either a shower cubicle that's spacious by any standards ..or a bathtub if you have the time...
The restaurants are typically famous as stand alone dine -in options as well...their Italian restaurants are among the best wherever they happen to be...
Your room comes with great offers every day(free stuff..discounts..)...its almost like Christmas every day...
The Amari is the kind of hotel that makes you feel at home...a very privileged home.
_________
tip: book through a travel agent-they'll get you much better rates than if you book on your own...if you're going on a holiday...book through Christopher Columbus-SITA's flexi hols arm...no hassle of booking..but the freedom to explore on your own minus a busload of fellow tourists! If its on your companies expense account they will probably book you in at the Amari Atrium in Bangkok.
Check it out for youself-and the rooms and the hotel really do look exactly like they are on the site...no hidden clauses either.
