TGIF is a reputed international branded chain restaurant, they also have branches all over India. We, about 6 people, hopped into on a fine Sunday evening. Despite of hanging out in Kolkata's most visited places, I went to TGI Friday's at Forum Mall for the first time. And TGIF fulfilled our stomach as well as our minds. We watched the match(it was the day India won the T-20) while sipping & biting.
Food:
Dishes were delicious. After much discussion we placed our order containing various kind of seafoods, continental dishes etc. Had authentic Italian style pasta and piping hot sizzler for dinner which amused our taste buds. Foods & drinks were served with fine garnishing in stylish crockery. In bar menu there was types of teas, coffees, cocktails, mocktails, margaritas, martinis etc. A really wide range to choose from.
Ambiance:
This restaurant has different set of standard in comparison to other restaurant & bars. It feeds your sporty side, you may enjoy your time peacefully. Atmosphere here is casual yet classy, loud yet silence.
Decoration is stylish. They decorated the place to attract both young and the old. You can have a piece of traditional American street restaurant. They put flat TVs all over the restaurant that wherever you take your seat, you don't have to put much effort to watch TV while eating. The restaurant is spacious, clean & well-lighted. Restroom is also clean.
Service:
Here these people will get less marks as they are so slow to serve. After placing order, we had to wait for a long to get foods on table. Same for drinks, they took 10 minutes to repeat a drink on an average! It seems like the energetic vibe was lost.
This is a casual dining family restaurant. Due to its International brand tag, the price is slightly high in comparison. But they offer nice discount on birthday or anniversaries(all you need to have their membership ID for the discount). We paid 6K bucks for 6 people after discount.
I heard that TGIF Gurgaon is quiet active & energetic which is missing in Kolkata. Whatever, we had a good time in, enjoyed the match till end, had good food. I will recommend this restaurant. Cheers!
