Some things to ponder about barring exceptions in some cases though.

Why is it that women realise/accept that they too have a sense of humour only after they get married? On the other hand, why

is it that men find it easy/confident to impress any women only after marriage? Is that the experience factor?.:K. Well, men play a very important role in both the cases, be it as a target of ridicule or their cuteness. ’Cute’ is such a common word used by women these days. Wonder if it comes anywhere close to the other 4-letter word se**. Hmmm. as n  afterthought, better leave it for the experts.

Nothing special as a revu. Should probably blog such ramblings somewhere else than on a social forum. But its again like working from home v/s at work with colleagues. So I post it here again. Just trying to share some of the songs when in a certain mood put me to thinking. "How does this industry work and what makes these songs to click?"  Nothing like the best comic songs or anything, just sharing songs that remind me to notice the next chuckle of the day.

(1) Muththu kodi kawadi hada.

This is great song originally picturised on another great comedian of yesteryears down south, Nagesh. The music and words are so catchy that they belie the true meaning of the first 4 tamil letters of the song. Do ask your friends about the meaning if you are not yet aware. PEARL OF A SONG with hidden https://lyrics. Wasn’t aware when at first used to sing it out loud but after understanding the meaning, mellowed down a bit to sing only among friends alike.:-). It became such a big hit down that they redid in hindi as well. RD, Asha & Mehmood best at their versatality. There were many failed/repeated versions like the Madhuri+Anil Kappor.  batata wada. batata wada.dil nahin dena tha. dena pada. A very cheap version of rhyming words.

(2) London se aaya Re bhaaiye chaila

Aashiq hain awara pehla Pehla

Aata jaata khaakh nahin hain dhoondhe pyaari Laila.

Shashi kapoor and Prem Chopra taking shot at each other in this early morning song on sundays so I say as the only place I have come across this one was on Rangoli on DD. sometimes used to wake up early in the hope that could get to the complete lyrics as you remember they never used to show complete song neither on Chitrahaars or Chchayageets. The RD style music really gets you tapping your feet.

(3) Pyaar mein dil pe maar de goli lele meri jaan

Ae jaane jahaan mar kar bhi yahaan

Tera peecha chodu naa. naa. naa.

Another Hindi version of a southie song. Peppy music by RD with Zeenat and Amitabh trying hard to match Jeetender+Freedevi kind of steps. The funny part is the https://lyrics. Is she a ghost woman or waht? mar kar bhi Tera peecha Chodu naa. and you should watch Amitabh’s scary expressions to this line:-) . Zeenat, you really scared the heck outta him. Another similar one sounds like a woman in Magic.

doodh ban jaavungi, malai ban jaavungi

botalo mein daaldo, sharab ban jaavungi.

(4) Ek aankha maaru tho parda hatt jaaye.

Dusri maaru tho kaleja phatt jaaye

Dono aakhen maaro tho chori pat jaaye.

Ek dum Rangeela’s Pakya type song. "Chappal khaaya tho kya? Daring tho kiya na baap". Tushaar kappor might be kosing Jumping jack for acting in movies like Tohfa, Himmatwala, Mawali, etc.  No producer is willing to offer him any more roles unless he agrees to wear red shoes and no shirt and create another sensation as his Father did by wearing tee shirt and white shoes.

(5) Koi yahaan aaha naache naache saare haseen aaha naache naache. auvva auvva.

The movie that brought Mithun into limelight just as Tirchi topiwaale did to Naseer(Tridev) or Baapji did to Om puri(Narasimha). Hats off to Bappi Da. some songs are really good but this one is one of the best. idk if this one is really funny as long as you listen to the Rambho Ho girl(Usha Uthup) except for when she sings "Bang Bang":-). The moment Bappi’s nasal "koi yahaan" starts or "sui sui", the fun starts. Time to listen to the originals.

(6) Dekho main ne dekha hai ye ek sapnaa.

foolon ke shahar me hai ghar apna.

Anytime you listen to this one, you can feel sorry for Vijeta Pandit, the actress who after having worked alongside a fresh phool(fool) in this love story directed by another respected phool(fool), just could not resist longing for a foolon ka shahar of their own.

(7) Gore Gore O Baanke Chore. Sharmili O Nakhrewaali.

Chi chi in his own voice teasing Divya Bharati in Shola Aur Shabnam. Chi Chi is the best when it comes to comic timing and facial expressions. This song actually reminds me of another old gem by LataJi and Amirbai. Gore Gore O Baanke Chore. kabhi Meri Gali aaya Karo. The best part of the old song is the picturisation like all other oldies.

(8) Padosan apne murgi ko rakhna sambhaal mera murga huva hain deewana.  from Jaadugar.

The most beautiful actress of that time and the superstar matching the beauty and what a hopeless movie and song? but  I remembered for a good long 15-16 years. thats why the mention.

(9) Hum kaale hain tho kya huwa dil waale hain.

Mehmood at his best. what range of acting skills did he have? From kunwara baap to this song to padosan. amazing!

Years later, another cheap version in the same vein was attempted by Amitabh in Haatoon Ki Khidmath mein salaam apun ka, Aji Potti patana hain fakat kaam apun ka. What chun chun ke words bhare hain?

(10) Aadmi hoon aadmi se pyaar karta hoon.

Aadmi Life mein doich time aisa bhagta hain olympic ka race ho ya police ka case ho

ya koi gay peeche pada ho.

some more worth mention.

mere bhais ko danda kyun maara.

tere baap ka woh leti thi.

Mere Piya Gaye Rangoon. Kiya Hain Wohaan se Telephoon Tumhari yaad satati hain

cheel cheel Chilla Ke Kajri Sunaye

ek chathur naar kar ke singaar

some more silly ones.

back maarti hain foront maarti hain.

dekho yeh ladki currant maarti hain

Do share the ones you feel deserve the mention

L-)
