I purchased a TATA Tiago from Autovikas Moti Nagar, on 26th October 2016 at 8.00pm and was feeling very proud till 28th October when I noticed that both front wheels have toe bent towards the left and the steering wheel is also about 2 cms. off center towards left.


I brought it to the notice of the dealer who took me to their workshop and the workshop people asked me to come after two three days. Later when I went to workshop I was asked to wait while they do the checking. After about 3 hours I was told that the vehicle is OK now and I can take the delivery.


Surprisingly the problem was still there and when I brought to the notice of the concerned supervisor he did not seem to notice the toe deviation in the wheels. I asked him to show me alignment report from the machine and was shocked to know the workshop doesn’t have alignment software(at least that was what I was told). I was introduced to some mechanic who told me that once they adjust the toe the steering will also be centered and I was asked to come after a few days. I took the vehicle for 1st service and handed over the vehicle to the supervisor who at his table in the premises issued the job card, I told him about the problem and he said it is there in system and will be taken care of. Note he was specifically asked by me to come and inspect the vehicle, otherwise he did not bother to even see the vehicle standing out in parking.


In the evening the vehicle was dropped at my works in the same condition as I had given in the morning but for the washing and tyre rotation and the person who did tyre rotation did not bother to check tyre inflation specially when we have different tyre inflation pressures for front and rear wheels.( That is the professionalism adapted at tata auto vikas workshop)


Any way it was pointed out on telephone to Mr Sandeep who was earlier in the day informed on phone about the pending work and the vehicle having been at workshop for 1st service.


Having been lied to, time and again, I was furious and in anger I could not see the door glass and hit myself hard on nose when entering the showroom. I asked them to get the vehicle in shape since it was pending since the time of delivery.


Mr Sandeep was called to the showroom and he insisted that the vehicle is OK and could not provide the alignment readings.


He did provide a bill for alignment having been checked at a local workshop, which made me more furious as to who gave him the right to get my new vehicle repaired at a local workshop while it could have been taken to some other authorized workshop in Delhi or even NCR.


Anyway the vehicle was picked up from my works on 14th dec2016 and delivered the same evening with the attached alignment report which is self explanatory.


How did the supervisor in charge send the vehicle for delivery with a letter asking me to sign that the fault is rectified when the report he sent says contrary.


I was in for a shock when I saw the SAI out as much as 6°03’ minus. Any technical person can evaluate that to something wrong with the steering and front suspension but your experienced people at AUTOVIKAS and your CRM at tata motors Mr Chander shekhar who says he has driven the vehicle and it is Ok


I was again asked to send the vehicle on 15th Dec and it was picked up from my works again and the alignment now done at some outside workshop at dwarka.


Now it became laughable since the company specified reading change with the change of alignment centre.


Any way all reading adjusted but since SAI could not be adjusted and now it shows a reading of 12°35’


I asked Mr Chandra shekhar to explain that and he says since they can not do anything about this it is OK and I should take delivery of the vehicle.


That is the explanation from a TATA MOTORS expert.


I have his email trail as proof.


I had registered a complaint against the pathetic service and behavior on TATA APP and after 2 days it was not showing in my app. I called tata helpline and they agreed that complaint was registered but service centre closed it saying they have answered my complaint( answered by way of emails that I was talking about.) So you raise a complaint and the service centre says resolved and the complaint is closed.


WOW to tata motors complaint redressal system.


I have again lodged a complaint vide no. 1-51005344216 and till the time it is resolved the showroom is requested to take delivey of the vehicle from workshop and ensure that I am delivered a QUALITY VEHICLE AS expected from TATA MOTORS
