We've been using Sony LCD TV since 3-4 years(check review here https://mouthshut.com/review/Sony-Bravia-KLV-19T400W-review-olntqusttm) After shifting from expensive DishTV I found tatasky was best bet. I use limited channels using make my pack since 3-4 years and very happy with them.
Recently I've seen their HD upgrade offer for Rs 1800. I called their customer care to upgrade. They said it's going to cost me only Rs 990 only(by giving old setup box back). Placed order for that. In few days a tatasky service man came-up with MPEG4 box(instead of HD) After following them on call for 4-6 times, after 10 days or so another tatasky service man came with HD box and changed setup box.
The quality of viewing and sound in HD is just wonderful.(Check the snap attached) Cost Rs 100 more per month as HD Access fee. But worth it. Just disappointed by their customer care service. You may need to follow-up for the service done in a time.
