Till about a year ago, we were the victims of the cable wallah at our suburb. We would be paying a fee of Rs 350 pm for a service that was grossly absent. And almost every 6-7 months there would be a threat of incresing prices. Saturdays and Sundays, we were quite unfailingly given the incredible blue screen to watch - why u would ask - cause cable was out. No ups support with them, and our complaints would only be answered in one voice. If you dont like it cancell the subscription. This, since there was no other competition around.
And then came the DTH solutions. First there was dish tv from zee. But we waited. And soon our wait was rewarded with the entry of TATA SKY.
From the day that we subscribed to this service, we have not had reason to complain. As promised, the requisite channels were provided. The clarity of sound, the qualtiy of the picture.man where was this all along. The cable wallahs used to just dish out grainy channels with pathetic sound in a multiplicity of channels. And their boast was they screened 3 channels of movies. 3 channels yes, but movies, whose 1/2 screen would be having scrolled ads.
Now, there is no problem at all. Recharging the account is very easy.Its as easy as refilling ur pre-paid mobile cards. Service wise also, they are quite professional. Just recently for some reason, our remote went for a toss. I just had to call them on the helpline nos, and my remote was replaced within 48 hours.
Now if this aint service I wonder what is. Friends, whether you want to buy into a particular service or not, its your choice. Do read and find out about the pros and cons. But take ur own decision.
We did, and we are enjoying TATA Sky every day.
