While we all expected a Nano Dada from Bengal now we are all set to have a Gujju Lad !!!

After more than a year of gestation when we all expected a troubled delivery this month in Singur Finally the Tata's have decided that they would deliver thier baby boy(nano) in Gujarat. All thanks to Narendra Modi for being supportive in such troubled times for Tata. Personally I feel that West bengal has lost a golden opportunity out to Gujarat.

Nano is all set again to do what maruti 800 did years back. Will all the backing from Rajiv gandhi then Maruti had revolutionized how an average Indian would commute. Now the same thing has come back after almost two decades. We are all set to see a outbreak of this car in the Indian Streets.

The Nano Project would surely be a great breakthrough and will bring India in the world map , but it did not have a cake walk either. The challenge to deliver a car at an unimaginable cost has been made more challenging with the politics and media (Though the later was only to the advantage) Nano will need no promotion it has already got the kind of attraction that one car would need.

A Small car so cute that is affordable to everyone sure sounds great but when I think of the what this can do to the already worse traffic situation it brings the creeps. Just even to imagine that those who buy a motorcycle for roughly 50K would not think twice when he would get an option to own 4 wheels in just twice the cost.

Although the most important thing about Nano would undoubtedly be the Price Tag and the Name Tata. A very simple efficient vehicle which could be ease to drive and park in crowded cities.

Nano Which till now has been a thorn in the neck for TATA due to Singur land issue. It won't be long when you can find one of these cars on Indian roads. The USP of Nano its cost which would come somewhere around 1.5 Lakh INR (3000$). With an affordability Nano is sure to be in every household but this brings along with it another problem as it will add on to the existing traffic in Indian roads. It is not hard to imagine what Nano could do to Indian roads traffic. Imagine 1000's of Nano flocking the roads in the metros which would be the most probable customer for this cars. Indian household at present is in a situation averaging one two wheeler a house but when Nano arrives there will be a shift in the two wheeler market with most of them opting for this alternative.

Tata group chairman Ratan Tata announced the company was taking the Nano small car project out of Singur in West Bengal because of continuing political opposition to it.

Tata all set to move to Gujarat. The Nano will now be born from Sanand, 30 kms from the city, on the land of Anand Agriculture University (AAU). Unlike Singur Farmers in villages adjoining Gujarat's Sanand have welcomed Tatas' decision to relocate the Rs 1 lakh-Nano car project there and appeared ready to give their land for construction of approach roads to the site.

But until then all hopes tied up for a healthy baby who would grow into a handsome lad whom everyone would love to own.
