I purchased my Nano TWIST XT way back in March 2015. No qualms no doubts just called the Concorde Motors showroom and booked it with a down payment of?80000. In the 2 years of owning the car and almost 40000kms of pure comfort in my little cutie pie, I have simply fallen in love with this car.

With more than a dozen cars I owned before this from Merc, Beemer, Porsche, Toyota, Daewoo, Peugeot. I never kept a car for more than a year. Simply grew tired of them. But the Nano offered me something that no other car could. unparalleled driving comfort, zippiness, raw super fast acceleration and best of all. customisation options.

The handling of the car is extremely nimble, thanks to the Electric power assisted steering(EPAS). One little finger and a little thrust and the car takes a 120deg turn with ease. A 4mt turning radius that no other car can offer you.

The paint I have is a metallic pearl gray, which is coated with teflon. The underbody has a 3M underbody coating with 2 years warranty,

The airconditioning clearly rivals that of a Nissan Sunny(considered worldwide as the most powerful). Hah! Move on Nissan, the Nano is here. Keep the AC at full(3 fan speeds) and you will freeze to death in 2 mins. The heater and mirror defogger help a lot in the rains. The Nano has just one wiper blade on the front windscreen. The blades last almost 2 seasons. But the best part if the wiper liquid hose which is tied onto the wiper itself rather than on the hood of the car, saving you from abuses from the guy behind you.:)

The instrument panel has.

  1. Fuel Gauge

  2. Speedometer

  3. Temperature Gauge

  4. Tell Tales(Electric Power Steering Warning Indicator, Low Fuel Indicator, Service indicator, Engine indicator, Oil level indicator, Temperature indicator, Battery indicator)

  5. MODE knob

  6. LCD(Digital Display)

  7. SET Knob

  8. Turn Indicator - Right

  9. Turn Indicator - Left

The Mode knob shuffles between Odometer, Trip meter, Average fuel economy(AFE), Distance to Empty(DTE) modes.

It even has a Display illumination setting. You can adjust night time illumination for display and graphics by using the SET/MODE buttons.

In all cars manufactured globally after 1997, an OnBoard Diagnostics socket is fitted below the steering wheel and next to the fuse box. in my Nano I have fitted a chinese make OBDII bluetooth device which communicates to the tablet all information on the car's diagnostics like engine speed, rev, oil, door open/close, lights, battery etc. OBD apps are available on Android/iOS stores.

Then there are the stock HARMAN speakers which when fired up can blow your socks off. The precision of bass can be felt even outside the car.

The Nano gears are so smooth that they require very little effort even in reverse gear, where in other cars you have to practically struggle with the gear knob.

The handbrakes are pretty good but not upto the mark. They need some getting used to.

The stock remote keyless entry is great too. It has a vehicle seek feature which I use to find my honey bun in a sea of khatara monsters.

On highways the car rolls around like you are practically flying in the air. Even at 100kmph, there are no rattles or rumbles like those Japanese and Korean DABBAs you get in the market nowadays. You know who I am indicating at. No names.

The stock MRF tubeless radial tyres were a farce! They kept getting punctured and went bald in just 15000kms. I had to get them replaced after I met with a very bad accident, with only a broken front name plate luckily. The fibre body just plonked out automatically after the accident. And people think the Nano is not a safe car. BANG That! Ok so now I use state-of-the-art JK tyres which cost around ?5500 a piece but are a lot more stable and the car doesn't skid anymore. That was in Dec 2016, I have covered another 20000kms after that already.

40000kms in 2yrs seems a lot for Indian roads and the Nano too. But trust me, she still looks like a fresh out of the factory beauty. Some people call me TATA Nano's brand ambassador and marketeer. Hats off the Mr. RNT for this beautiful and appealing car. Only a car enthusiast can understand another's passion.
