I had enrolled for the first batch of course with Earnest HR for PG Diploma in HR & Administration. I am from Fitness Industry and wanted to do a course in HR and Admin so that I could improve the efficiency of the Process at our Fitness Club.
Yes Promises were many, but honestly the course was a great disappointment. For the first Semester the trainers were a disaster, they were no doubt good as an individual but were not efficient to impart knowledge.
The class room learning was just reading out what was there on the PPT slides.(Which of course my kids would have done a better job with more voice modulation and expressions.) For the first Semester we got the whole PPT in the form of Text book also, and the topics were general so a person like me who is not from HR background also knew most of the topics. The Payroll subject had excell as 70% of the syllabus and our trainer was using PPT to teach us Excel. Thanks to one of our co student who took the initiative to take up the class practically.
Came second Semester, after making a lot of noise we did get good trainers, but this time they decided to save on paper and money and gave us only work books not text books. Then Earnest HR wakes up and give us projects one which was supposed to do in the 1st Semester also. Then to top in a Log book, where we have to write our learning experiences also. This was totally new to me, I raised my concern with the management, we were promised internships at the start of the course, without which how do we fill the log book. But the management decided to keep quite about it. They want that we should fill the log book with whatever fictitious situations. The log book has to be complete, so that they can show TISS how much they have done and lure students for the new batch.
This is just a money making racket, I really wonder how TISS agrees to give its certification courses to such irresponsible institutes and make a mockery of the whole course conducted by TISS.
