I am living in Chennai and have recently decided to switch to Tata Indigo CS LX TDI from my M800. I have done enough research to zero down this with the help of the valuable info available in MS and other few reliable sites.
My daily office commuting distance would be 10+10 kms and every month I used to drive down to Coimbatore and Madurai and come back to Chennai (About 1200 kms). So I need a typical highway cruiser and to some extent I can compromise on the fun of city driving which is inevitable with a TDI engine.
Hence I need your advise regarding the below points to make a best buy : How much can I negotiate and ask for discounts ? ( Currently tata is offering free insurance for this month) and who is the best dealer in Chennai ? Should I take a mechanic with me to confirm upon the PDCs before taking delivery ( Because this is the first diesel beast am going to handle !)
Can I fuel the car with any ordinary diesel because in the highways and in my native I cant be sure about the availability of premium fuels. What is ideal speed of this car on the highway to get better fuel efficiency & lesser wear and tear ? What are the special accessories I can buy (Other than stereo and related accessories..) to spice up the car ? Your valuable advise would help me a lot since am going to buy the car within this month.
