Dear All,

I have been reading on all reviews of New Indica Xeta 11.2 ltrs car, here are facts from my side.

Fuel consumption is not more than 8 kms/ltr in city with AC on. I have not driven on highways ( long stretches) ehough in city 50% of my travel was on highways and in 4th gear at 60 kmph speed.

When I complained to Om sai service centre at Kandivsli they asket me to drive till I complete 1500 kms and then compare. I have been driving cars since 9 years now hence there cannot be a fault in my drivning.

Till date I have driven 575 kms in my new car. In the first time I filled my tank 30 ltrs, it ran for 22o kms, next time it went for 250 kms. I hope and pray by the time I complete 1500 kms, it reaches around 330 kms in 30 ltrs fuel.

If not than pls look into this fact before buying it.I would request any person who can help me on this to contact and tell me what to do as authorised Tata dealer (OMSAI at Kandivali) will not do anything till I drive 1500 kms.

Pls pls look into this before u buy the vehicle.

Rest all features like space looks etc are good, but even gears are little tough compared to Santro and wagon R.

Pls look into whether u can afford to pay 45K more that India GVG and go for a santro intead whish will give u 12 ltrs in Mumbai for sure, I had a santro before this.

Any one from Tata who reads this email can suggest me a remedy and I will be HIGHLY OBLIGED.

Pls pay attention to this and do something before u end up with a problem.

Comments on Tata Indica V2 Xeta Review

I got the vehicle almost same time as you but from wasan.
From my side I want to add the This car's mileage improves drastically
First 10 Lt.. given me 6.5 than nest 15 lt. given me 8.5 next 10 lt. given me close to 10.5
so I can say (rat...her pray) that this will increase up to minimum 12.5 - 13.5 by next 800 km
Else your review and concerns are genuine and every buyer feel the same pros and cons regarding this.
BTW I am having GLS 1.4L.
I feel that GVG (GLG) are rather less VFM than GLS.
will keep you informed about this
and
Hope not much concerns arises

hi

i also recentlu bought xeta 1.2 L GVS a month back. I am sure all of us were quite aware or at least tried to find out about the mileage before buying xeta.

in my case i have driven the car only 700 km in city without ac (its col...d in delhi except one day when i used it for about 45 minutes)....for the first 100 km it gave a mileage of 9-10km / litre and second 500 km i got an average of 13.8 km / litre. I am sure it will improve to 14 -15 without ac. i am using only speed / extra petrol.....and keeping the rpm under 2 or seldom crossing it when i need fast pick up.

lot depends on the driving habits as well. my friend who owns skoda 1.9 L diesel gets around 14-17 in city (w/out ac) and 20 - 23 on highways (with 30% ac).
But all said and done this is a tata vehicle and i read in the reviews somewher in mouthshu.com ''if u can keep ur expectations in limit tata products will always make u happy''...well very rightly said......

I got the car in May this year, initial mileage was 9. After 1st service (5000 kms) I was getting around 11. Now when I am close to 2nd service and 9000 kms, I am getting 13+ in Pune (I drive through main city).

I do have an adivce for you,...as you have written, that you drive in 4th gear @ 60kmph. I think you should try to do the same in 5 gear. That is recommended for this Car. I hope, there is a sticker for the same in your car, mine has it. I swtich to 5th clog when I touch 50 mark. It accelerates fine and mileage also gets better.

One correction mine is 1.4 ltrs GLS.
