The iv2 as I like to fondly call my Indica V2, has finally given me 3 years of relatively trouble free service! The car has come with me on long drives to Munnar, Bangalore,Ooty and Tuticorin.

Though initially I was apprehensive of switching to a diesel car, the peppy behaviour of my iv2 in the congested city, won my heart!
We shall not bother to talk about the mileage, as any iv2 owner, is the
guy with the biggest smile on his face! Take a look around and you know
who drives a iv2! I get about 12-14kmpl in the city and 14-17 in the highway with the A/c on! Though on a hot day, the a/c
doesn't feel upto the mark, as it takes time to cool the cabin,
especially if your car was kept out in the sun for a long time, a
normal experience, for all those living down in the south.

The car was handled exceptionally well in the hilly terrains.
It even amazed me when it went up a 75 degree straight up incline in
Munnar hill station! Though I heard that in the hill stations on when
the temperature goes down, diesel cars won't crank-up, I never had that
problem. Probably it's the new generation car thing or the heater which
was incorporated into the iv2 that does the trick. Highways have been
the best place to drive the car.

Though I am not too ambitious when it comes to going above 80kmph, the
car has managed to hit the 110 kmph mark effortlessly, the only thing stopping it is, my foot on the brake pedal! You
should drive responsibly! The car is quite capable of hitting 130kmph
as my friends have done the same. Anyways I prefer to stick to a safe
driving limit, to not only enjoy the driving experience but also have a
beautiful prolonged journey.

Except for the scheduled service intervals, I never once had to visit the service centre. Even the cost of the spare parts like say the clutch 2500/, rear taillight 850/- etc... to give you an idea of spare parts costs, is very much affordable.Lets face it, if you live in the city, your bumper, tail-lights etc...are the first things to go!

I have recommended the car to 37 friends and strangers, who sometimes have pulled up in the middle of the road to ask me about the iv2 !

Performance wise, I have burned the tarmac, beating cars like the
esteem, accent and other note-worthy competitors, thanks to the very
responsive gear shift and acceleration features of the iv2 !

Ofcourse, it has to be said, the car is only as good as the owner,
which means when it comes to changing spares, don't get a cheap or
second-hand fitment, get the original fitment from the service centre
and get it serviced at scheduled intervals.

The car being so spacious has helped as everyone in our family is on the larger side! A car worth every money I spent on it! Here's to all you iv2 owners, cheers!
Recommended to all those who take frequent long drives or those who
want to take one, without thinking twice about mileage or cost to
pocket! Also for city people as it parks easily in congested places yet giving you so much room!
