Tamanna, which in English means Dreams, is a New show telecasted on Star Plus instead of the serial Sumit Sambhal Lega. This show portrays the story of a girl Dhara, who is born and brought up in a small town in Gujarat. The girl dreams of becoming a cricketer and she is very determined to do so.
Dhara on whom the serial revolves has a very supportive father, who himself was a cricketer at the district level. It’s a show which depicts great love by a father towards her daughter and all the sacrifices that her father makes towards fulfilling her daughter’s aspirations of becoming a cricketer.
Dhara is challenged by her grandmom(Baa) that if she wants to learn cricket she also has to learn all the household chores. Her Grandmom is of the opinion the since she is girl, her prime duty is making care of the household which would be helpful to her after marriage.
This is a very pleasing serial, far better than the usual shows which portray Saas Bahu fights or Husband Wife divorces. By means of this show, one comes to know that even after so many years after Independence, India is still biased towards boys and girls have to struggle extremely hard in achieving their goal.
Indeed, it’s a great story to look out for.
Timings of the Serial: Mon-Sat(10.00 pm - 10.30 pm)
