Talaash, being directed by Suneel Darshan is expected to break the jinx and record a big hit towards the fag end of the year. Scheduled to release on December 6, 2002, Talaash has Akshaye Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in the lead, with an impressive supporting cast in Rakhee, Gulshan Grover, Shakti Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Pooja Batra and Kabir Bedi. Although Akshaye and Kareena were seen in Abbas-Mastan's Ajnabee, this is the first time they have been paired opposite each other. Kareena is enthusiastic about Talaash and expects it would bring about a turn in the fortune of the Hindi film industry. Gulshan Grover is also equally enthusiastic. And he has enough reasons to be so. He is not playing a bad man this time. He is playing a nice sikh.
Director Darshan sees the music by the young duo Sanjeev-Darshan, as one of the best selling points of the film. The film has nine songs. Music being an integral part of Hindi cinema Darshan incorporated it into this fast-paced film as well. Fortunately for him, they have worked very hard on the music and he strongly believe that he has got very good Hindustani music. Well, Mr. Darshan, we too hope your film would sell well, thus ending a drought of big hits in Bollywood.
