A Hospital with Nil medical ethics treats humans as just ATM

On 14 Nov 2019, I went for doing a yearly scan for my abdomen to Sunrise hospital, After doing a scan I got the report and as per the report suggested to consult doctor, I went for making an appointment for Gynecologist. I went and asked In reception which doctor is available now for me to consult, They said Its ” Dr keerthi Rajan”, I said If only I can meet her give me consultation if not I can leave now. The reception said yes the “Dr keerthi “ is there from morning till evening at 5 pm, so I took the consultation and went to see the doctor.

My family and me were waiting for quite some time, and I can't see any patients outside her cabin, I went and asked the nurse who was present in nurse room, they said they will check and let me know, again we waited and after some time I knock the door and then a nurse came from other doctors cabin and said Keerthi is in operation theatre and cant see now.

So I went to reception and said to refund the consultation charge as I double enquired whether Dr was available, then they said they will make arrangement and within 5 mins they said “Dr keerthi “ will see me, I enquired how can a Dr who is in OT see me, they said its ok they made arrangement.

So I waited and soon they took me to ICU area, near OT and Dr came from OT, I was really surprised how this is possible just to save consultation fees, how can they treat patients life so carelessly. The Dr who came to consult was examining me said I need to be admitted for operation for doing Myomectomy, I said ok whatever ur finding plz give me a medical report as there are only 2 small fibroids that’s there for past 5 yrs and I wish to get a medical report regarding treatment u prescribed.

The answer was shocking and never expected from such a hospital. They said they can't give me the findings and medical report as it against their hospital policy.

I argued it’s a patient right to know the treatment u prescribed

They instead asking me why can’t I get admitted for operation and why I need a report. AS I am from a medical background family, I know clearly that doing Myomectomy is never a complete cure as again chances for fibroid to grow is there, I have no other complication or any other medical history

Then I and my husband went there HR to make a complaint they said it's not a problem they will give me the medical report.

Then they made again another drama by sending us to its owner “Dr Hafeez rahman” . I said what happened there and asked him to give the medical report, He was also not ready to give the medical report. HE asked who do I consult I said “Dr keerthi, ” and I said this Dr as she was standing there, then I came to know its not “DR KEERTHI RAJAN” BUT its some trainee DR who I visited, after repeatedly asking name she said her name is MELENA that too I don’t know if its true!

And as I know the foul play played by SUNRISE hospital. The owner “Dr Hafeez rahman” said Dr keerthi got an emergency so she went to OT. I said “Dr Hafeez “ before making consultation itself I asked double time can I see the DR and ur reception said yes I can so if she was in OT why can’t ur reception say it instead making me see some other person by forgery her as “Dr Keerthi”, and as I don’t know the face of the DR u made me consult with some trainee available there and with her finding ur asking me to do operation.

As they know we found out their foul play, They said they not willing to treat me as I am being rude. And they didn’t give any medical report. As per SUNRISE policy refer attached screenshot taken from the hospital front office. All patients have the right to know about their medical condition and get a report.

I felt how innocent peoples who trust this DR and hospitals are being fooled and made to do an unwanted operation to make such hospitals rich. Such an unethical hospital, I had heard many complaints regarding this hospital, but never thought it will be such a nightmare situation. I went for diagnosing with another hospital and found an operation is not needed.

If u really want to get treated with such unethical hospital, go with ur own risk, and if they suggest any operation better check with any other doctors and then get admitted in ur own risk. Becoz ur just a commodity for them to make money.
