I recently had the lunch buffet here with my friend and absolutely loved it.
Salads:
They had four varieties of salads, two with egg and two pure veggie (with clear labelling on which contains egg - to aid our veggie friends). Both my friend and I are kind of salad freaks and we tasted all. They were all pretty good. It would have been nice if there had been a salad with no dressing to help people on diets.
Soups:
Did not try it - so no comments.
Snacks:
This is where vegetarians might miss out. Most were meat based - fish, crab, chicken (Caribbean Jerk Chicken?) and just one vegetarian snack - cauliflower.
Main course:
There was one baked dish - which was absolutely delicious. They still have rice and couple of veg/non-veg curries for those who like Indian food.
Dessert:
Fruit salad, some chocolate cake and some other dish made of custard.
Service:
Prompt and helpful. I asked a couple of questions on the dishes and they could answer well enough.
Ambience:
Nice, with un-obtrusive music/lighting.
In all, it is worth every rupee of the Rs.180 (inclusive of taxes) they charge for the lunch buffet. Ideal on a lazy sunday - get up late, skip your breakfast and have an early lunch. Ideal for taking your friends or your family.
Will definitely visit again.
