MBA stands for Master of Business Administration. The two-year Post-graduate Diploma awarded by the Indian Institutes of Management is also equivalent to MBA. Some Universities also award MBM Degrees, MBM standing for Master of Business Management. Over rhe past decade or so, there has been a mushroom growth of institutions awarding Management Degrees. Some of these are fake degrees, not recognised by the Universities, Government of India, UPSC or the AICTE. So, one has to be very careful in selecting the institution that awards Management Degrees or Diplomas.

There are Entrance Tests for admission to the Management institutions, and some Institutions conduct a Common Admission Test. Even preparing for these Tests is quite expensive. If you prepare for it without the help of Coaching Centres, you have to buy books and notes on the subjects. Usually, many candidates take the help of Coaching Centres by joining them as students. So, both ways it is expensive.

Successful Preparation for MBA Entrance Tests begins when you are confident that you can make it. Your spoken and written English should be excellent, and your General Knowledge should also be equally good. You must have the skill to express complicated facts in a simple language. Your power of reasoning should be admirable. You should be able to convince others in a person-to-person discussion, and in Group Discussion, you should be able to carry the Group to a conclusion without dominating yourself. Your capacity to analyse facts and figures should be very good. When you go for a personal interview, you should be well dressed without appearing gaudy. You should have studied some popular Management books like Arindam Choudhury's 'Count the Chickens before they Hatch.' You should be able to laugh at yourself at times, and be able to relax.

Well, if you prepare for the Entrance Tests keeping the above parameters in mind, I am sure, success will be yours. Think of Success, and it is within your reach. Aim at Success, and you become Successful.
