I have had an account with the Nepean Sea Road branch of this bank since past 40 years. SBI is the largest bank in the country and one of the top 100 in the world. The banks in India are supervised by RBI, and SBI is owned by RBI. So, with such a distinguished pedigree, this bank should not be near the bottom of the heap in customer surveys, right? So what is my beef?
I have had few complaints about SBI staff over the years. By and large they are co-operative, sometimes overworked, sometimes not. Always helpful.
BUT, at least in this branch, one day the server doesn't work, the next day the printer doesn't work, the third day the concerned staff member is on leave. and then comes the long holiday, one of those frequent holidays our banks are notorious for.
But why should SBI and RBI find out from such public platforms that their managers need to work harder? Can they not take their own customer satisfaction surveys?
