Star Health and Allied Insurance Co Ltd is working closely with MouthShut.com to enhance customer satisfaction.

I am holding a Family health policy for more than a decade and this year, I asked for top up to the insured amount. The staff at Star Health office, Cuddalore, Tamil nadu advised me to furnish details about my medicines which I did and subsequently instructed me to pay for my base policy and also the top up premium. I immediately made the payment. After two days of premium payment, they informed me that my policy was rejected by medical team. If so, why the staff instructed me to pay the amount without medical team's approval. When I enquired about this to the concerned staff, he informed that it is mandatory to make the payment only after which medical team will review. It is totally unethical to receive money first and then reject later. What sort of business motive it is? Now, I have instructed them to return the entire premium and to detach my association with Star Health, citing their unethical business standards.
