I had been using the standard chartered card since 2000. they often send the statement late & charge late fees. sometimes I think this is the way of SCB to earn more.
I am very much disappointed with the customer care. In the last week of February I did some shopping with the card. The very next day I called up the customer care to know when to pay the amount back. There was a male executive on the other side name ''Colin''. He told me that u have to pay the amount by 2nd April.
I was quite relaxed that I have much time to deposit the amount. After few days I again had to shop with the card. So by now I had to pay the bank a sum of Rs 7000.
I again called up the customer care to confirm when to pay back the amount. Now there was a female on the other side who told me to pay the amount as soon as possible. I was surprised that just 4-5 days back I was told that I can pay the money by 2nd April & now all of a sudden its changed. I asked that lady to forward my call to Mr. Colins (who had told me that I can pay till 2nd April), there was one more surprise for me. I was told that there is no executive working with the name of ''Colins''. SCB customer service is so bad that sometimes one has to hold for 20-25 mins to talk to the executive.Some time the phone rings & nobody is bother to receive it. The most important drawback is that the customer care executives are very rude.
Overall, I am not at all interested in using the card. I would suggest others, who are using the card to be alert.
