In the month of May, I was looking for coaching classes for my daughter who is now studying in grade 8 under ICSE syllabus. What I found Sri Chaitanya Knowledge Hub Basaveshwaranagar, Bangalore, I felt this would be the right place to get my child enrolled here moreover this place is situated close to our residence as well.
Once I called to enquire, I started getting calls regularly to visit the academy. As my child was in our native I only went there after she came back. After going there I got to know that they conduct classes for ICSE syllabus on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. As I was not willing to my daughter for Sunday classes, I came back and dropped the idea of getting her enrolled there.
But I started getting calls saying that they'll conduct Sunday classes on Thursday and asked us to visit the academy again. There Mr. Yateesh who heads the centre assured that they'll arrange Sunday's classes on Thursday. Also hurriedly made me pay the registration charges. I was also informed by Ms Veena and another person that there are 13 students who will be attending the classes.
That week Thursday I didn’t get any calls regarding the classes, Friday time table Was sent. My daughter attended the classes on Friday and Saturday that week, (first week of June 2024), but she was the only student who was in the class against what I was informed I.e 13 number of students.
The next week again Thursday class was not conducted on Friday my daughter went to the class.
I went to the centre to pick my child, I went to see her in her class. That comment VEENA told me I was not allowed to go to that floor. I just wanted to see the classes being conducted from outside. When I told that after collecting registration fee, no body is bothered, no updates are received Veena got triggered. We had an argument, but this lady was really rude and unprofessional. Later she called Yateesh, he told me that my child can discontinue classes and he'll be refunding the fee in 2days time.
It has been a month now and I have not received the amount. I have all the records of the conversation and chats where he has been committing different days for payment but in vain.
Later Sandhya from the same academy told me that they can't refund the amount.
My question is when they knew they'll not be refunding money, what made Yateesh tell that he will refund?
If this is how SCKH runs I wonder the fate of students pursuing to study in this organisation.
Kindly don't fall into such traps.
