You will find office of Sri Hari Sastha Tours & Travels( also known as viamaduraitravel, Viamadurai Travels) at just outside of the madurai junction railway station. They offer travel rental services and day trips(by mini bus in a group) to rameshwaram, kodaikanal, kanyakumari from madurai. They are just another worse service provider who's going to spoil your trip. This is not new in india.
I was just reading their day trip advertisement board just outside of their office. Which made me interesting. Entered their office, inquired about it. The office guy explain me very nicely(this is also not new in india, sweet talk before sale) I've booked 2 day trip.(one day to madurai-kodaikanal, another one to madurai-kanyakumari) He charges me Rs 500 each for the trip which included pick-up, drop-off & afternoon lunch.
At early in the morning on first day trip to kodai, I got a call from the same guy(mobile no 9159629917) saying I have to come to their office to pick the bus in 15 minutes. Here we go. I walked around 1km to their office just to pick the bus. After some time I have been picked by bus driver which was from'Subbu Tours and Travels, madurai' That means Sri Hari Sastha is an affiliate of subbu travels.
While talking with subbu travels driver, I came to know that they have overcharged me for the trip. On first day trip, even I have not given free lunch which was included with the trip. Even no drop back to hotel! Even subbu travels service was worse(as a bonus)
Even other traveler were charged higher. Service was worse too. Better avoid these travel agency at madurai or get ready to spoil your trip.
