We bought a car from Spiny in November 2019, we did pay total of 2Lac for the Alto K10 2012 model, we chose Spiny because we trusted Spiny among other second-hand providers outside, even though we knew the price is higher we paid because of their promise on warranty for 1 year and trusted their 200 points checklist.
But, things have changed when we got a car in our hand,
-When we were buying the car, we had notified about Engine vibration when we sit inside the car, we did notify about this while buying this car, we asked spinny persons to sit inside the car and showed them how it was vibrating, and Spinny agreed to rectify this issue, but the issue started showing up again, they did some temporary fix here.
-After we brought car home, we started noticing AC not working properly, Spinny service team came and fixed it, again the AC issue started within 1 month, Spinny service team came recently and diagnosed and service guy said some temporary fix was made earlier that’s why we are seeing this issue and he said we need to bring car their place which is 30Km to get this fix done.
-Now the major issue started, at this point 1500kms driven after we had taken delivery from Spinny when we were driving to 200Km journey from Bangalore on the way we have noticed RED alert, we did stopped the car immediately and called Spinny Service guy Ramakrishna from Prabhu team, he asked us to check the coolant oil and he said heat can happen with this kind of small cars when we go for long drive and he didn’t tell us to bring the vehicle to their place at that point. We waited for 30mins and we checked coolant oil there, it was there at that point. Spinny service team answer to the RED alert was due to long drive(Just 200Km coverage) in this small car at this point.
After checking coolant oil we drove to Bangalore, once we came back to Bangalore we took to a nearby garage just to make sure coolant oil was fine and local guy said everything is fine at that point by just looking at the coolant oil.
Later we started seeing RED alert again, we stopped and checked this time coolant pipe was broken, we called and informed Spinny team about this and we replaced coolant pipe and kept coolant oil to drive back car to home.
Spinny service team came and diagnosed and said that this has happened due to Head Gasket leakage which is internal where the user can’t be identified from outside. And, Spinny service team asked us to bring the car to their 30Km service station by towing. We started questioning why need to pay for the towing charge to such a long distance because of their mistake, we told them we have already paid a premium to this car and we are not ready to pay even a paisa as we are seen multiple issues right from the purchase and their temporary fixes.
I have raised this issue with PAN India spinny team(with the help of Yashwant Singh), they took 3 to 4 days to talk to the management and came with the same answer where we need to tow the vehicle to 30Km distance service store and they repair and give back the vehicle.
Prabhu from the service team contacted us, he is putting blame on us saying we didn’t inform them when RED alert showed for the first time even though we informed his team member Ramakrishna when the first failure happened as we mentioned above, this is really contradicting statement. And he doesn’t have the answer to the temporary AC and Engine vibration fix have done from their team earlier to this. With this series of act over just for not bearing towing charges which is the consequence of their negligence we are losing hope with Spinny which is playing just for the towing charge, now we are more worried as we have seen temporary fixes earlier in AC and Engine vibration now started showing up, this issue Prabhu team itself agreed and they only told there was temporary fix from their side, we are not sure what and all issues are there again going further.
If the car is in the drivable condition we would have given the vehicle, it is not in drivable condition, and we are ready to tow to nearby 1.5KM Maruti service station instead of 30km their place, the Service guy Prabhu is not ready to accept that.
They sold us the vehicle which missed this head gasket leakage check, which caused us a lot of troubles, they are not showing this checkpoint anywhere in their report. AC issue, Engine vibration issue not sure how many more are there.
We feel the Spinny service team is of total negligence where they try to wash their hands with some temporary fixes and not ready to take the blame when major issues come to them. Now we started losing hope with the pan India Spinny team also as it is delayed to weeks.
We are still saying we can only take the car if delivered in good condition by addressing all the issues mentioned, and we are not ready to bear the cost of towing when there is an issue from Spinny which delivered in such condition.
-Engine vibration
-AC issue
-Head gasket
-Any other issues which customer can't catch
