Don't waste your time with this hopeless airline. We had flights booked with SpiceJet to go from Delhi to Jaisalmer from 12/03/23 to 15/03/23. Our flight from Delhi to Jaisalmer departing time has been changed 3 times.
Two days prior to our flight we got the notification that they have cancelled our return on 15/03/23 have provided no reason as to why. We then had contact all our hotels to change our itinerary so we could fly 13/03/23 to 16/03/23 which of course on short notice you encourage more charges as the window has expired to make free changes.
We called their useless customer services reps who were unable to help with anything, they couldn't even put a manager on the phone or get a manager to call us back. We explained that they need to compensate us for the extra charges we are now incurring due to their incompetence they basically said that we need to get in touch with them via email and it will take 72hrs for a response but we explained that we have a flight in less than 24hrs and we are international travels and don't have cell service we relay on wifi but this just fell on deaf ears. The customer service rep said she would put in a complaint for us but is unable to provide us with a reference number as the system is down.
At this point we have spent more than 2hrs trying to sort this mess out we finally changed our flights to 13/03/23 to depart and return on 16/03/23. We asked the rep If they can't do anything about the compensation the least they could do was give us better seats on the flight & the response we got was we don't have access but then they said they could change our seats if we paid, what a joke !!!
Today 15/03/23 while we are at our hotel connected to WIFI by luck we got a call from a SpiceJet service rep to tell us that our return flight will now be changing to the 17/03/23 as it sounds like they have oversold the flight. My wife on this call the customer service rep was trying to tell her that we can't guarantee you a spot on this flight so my wife was getting really upset as this circus of an airline has been playing games from the very start.
Once I took the phone to speak with them all of a sudden the rep said that it's OK you can stay on this flight they were just offering a one-time waver which is just a load of rubbish.
My advice to anyone thinking of using SpiceJet DON'T, IT'S NOT WORTH IT doesn't matter how cheap the tickets are your in for a headache. My rating for SpiceJet is -20 stars worst airline.
