I thought it prudent to share my experience of trying to obtain a new broadband connection with Spectra. Very prompt response from the sales team, they came almost immediately and completed all the formalities. Informed me on approval I would need to pay the amount and the connection would be done in 24 hours at the most as the feasibility for the line was there. This was probably the end of my pleasant experience with Spectra.
So the saga from there 24 hours has taken numerous calls to a sales agent, installation team, call center, and to no avail, all promises of today tomorrow, etc, finally they came on Sunday evening ten days later, as I have asked for a refund for not installing the line. Now it gets interesting, the contract is for a 500 MBPS line, the modem and router is provided by Spectra, after installation I am getting less than 180 Mbps on wifi, the installation team asked me to try my router and I was able to see wifi speeds of up to 400 Mbps on wifi and higher on LAN. The decision was taken to use my router instead of the one provided by Spectra. To do this one has to enable the MAC id of my router on the server. Apparently, this is not possible, as we have to use the substandard router provided by Spectra and live with the throttled back wifi capabilities of less than 200 MBps for wifi. Its a company policy. So they sell you a 500 Mbps line and provide you a router then has only 200 Mbps capability and then as the channels are not changeable in that router, with the high density of wifi traffic you get less than 10 Mbps on your 2.54Ghz wifi. The installation is not complete but billing has already started and I am getting bombarded by SMS and emails to pay the bill for an installation that's not complete and for a service that I have paid for the year already.

Team Spectra this will come every few minutes by SMS and email! Really what about the advance payment made for the year, the billing is daily and since they installed yesterday and I have not shared the OTP to say the Installation is complete; one would think that service is not activated. No! That's for informing you are satisfied with the installation, and although I was not, the service is started.
Finally, I call to have the service terminated by call center but the termination team is different and they are not available right now they will call me back later.
Extremely frustrating service, substandard in every aspect and extremely frustrating experience. For your peace of mind don't take this connection.
