Soorma itself a very powerful story based on Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh who also known as Flicker singh due to his powerful drag flicks in hockey ground.
Diljit as Sandeep Singh gives his best performance, he brings a sincere and intese conviction which holds your attention apart from Diljit Taapsee Pannu who played Sandeep's love interest in the movie also very prominent in her acting, she really shaped as a versatile actress. Angad Bedi who played Sandeep's big brother and Vijay Raj on a serious role of playing his coach brings some joy on the screen with hilarious comic timing.
Story starts with young Sandeep and his big brother practising hockey and getting brutally punished by their coach which makes Sandeep to quit hockey and he came back after 8-9 years for his love interest Harpreet who also happen to be a hockey player. Story then runs through the series of events happened in his life from his selection to Indian hockey team then how he get injured accidentally and in the end how he motivate himself to back in the hockey field and win tournaments for his country as a captain.
The movie got everything from love, drama, emotion, innocence to be successful. A true spirited movie.
