It was my first smartphone, first android smartphone to be precise. I wanted to have good sound output from my phone and what other than Sony would have provided that 4 years back. A phone from Sony was quite a praiseworthy thing for me. And that rectangular design looked beautiful. Although I would have bought a purple coloured one but settled with the red piece.
And when I received it, the first thing I checked after setting up was indeed the earphones and it was mind blowing. I was happy with my choice, with the unique notification light.
The battery backup was decent and it gave near about 2 days to use with full day WiFi. And camera was, no wonder, superb.
But the happiness was shortlived. I got bored with it within weeks. 8 GB of storage and 1 GB RAM couldn't handle the pressure. Rooted, removed bloatwares, used customised ROM, display customizations and did what not to keep the interest going on.
The storage was always full because of apps and the accessible memory remained at the negative side of 1 GB for most of the time. Anyway, the first anniversary passed successfully.
Few more tweaks, transferring apps to card, hibernation got my phone live near to 2 years and then it started dying. I could no longer use it with peace of mind. I could no longer multi-task. Forget multi-tasking, I even couldn't launch the dialer many a times. Free RAM used to be at about 70-80 MB even with the minimal and lite apps.
Apps started force closing, keyboard won't show up. Had to restart every now and then and factory reset was done frequently. Kept trying different ROMs but non of them could let me use my phone for a long time.
Forgot to say, even camera started taking hazy pictures after an year. Well, it was due to the damaged UV coating of the camera. The quality was satisfactory after cleaning it with toothpaste. : p
And now, the phone is used just for calling.
