I purchased this laptop in 2014 from a local dealer and still using the same laptop. So, its nearly 2 years of usage for this laptop and after this great experience I can say this is one of the best laptop for basic home usage. This laptop comes with great specifications with solid built quality and a very less cons which I found in previous 2 years. Here are some quick review on its pros and cons
PROS
It comes with intel 2nd generation corei3 processor 2.20 GHz clock speed
15.5 inches of display(display is good with natural colors with good viewing angels)
It comes with 512 MB of dedicated graphic memory with NVIDIA Geforce 410 graphic processor. This is one of this best parts of the laptop and the main reason for me to purchase this laptop. This laptop has total integrated graphic memory more than 2 GB and can play good games for you. you can play heavy games also, but not good for high resolution and heavy games like crysis 3 etc. but you can still play good games on this laptop.
comes with premium window 7 home basics
4 USB ports and HDMI port also support for SD card
DVD driver
2 GB of RAM which is not good
inbuilt web cam, bluetooth, wifi and great speakers for clear sound.
its touchpad comes with multi-gesture option and useful for scrolling zooming like options.
built quality is high and solid
one of the best feature is vaio care and their services always ready to assist you. great experience
battery backup is good, after usage of 2 years it still provides me nearly 2 hrs of backup after full charging
As always hardware of sony is best for heavy usage
White and black colour options are available, even I am using black colour but white looks much better and premium
Along with all these specification I found some low points in this laptop which could be better at this price range.
CONS
It comes with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM which is less according to me( but they provide extra 2 slots expendable upto 8GB)
Sound quality is good but not enough loud you have to use external speakers or headphones for watching movies
camera quality could be better
its fan noise is very high and annoying
It comes with only 320 GB of hard drive from which you can only use nearly 280 GB which is very less.
At last if you are looking for a budget laptop for home usage with great quality, looks, service, brand and only and only home usage purpose then blindly go for it. Only problem you will get is its less storage space, all other cons are nearly negligible at this price range. So you can choose you product on the basis of your requirements, for me this laptop is always a great experience and I am still using this.
