Back in 2009, our Samsung TV started giving problems and even a couple of repairs didn't help much. It was then the time to buy a new TV. With LCDs becoming increasingly popular with every day, we as a family, decided to switch to LCD from those old CRT types.
Now, remained the task of choosing a brand.
We decided to consult one of my brother's friend, who is an electrician and also repairs TVs, stereos, and other electronic items.
He recommended Sony Bravia to us.
So, we brought home Sony KLV 26BX320, a 26" LCD Screen TV for a price of 23, 900 Rs. The price seemed to be somewhat higher compared to other LCDs available in the market though.
But, it has been more than 4 years, and I'm a satisfied customer to a great extent.
Picture Quality
Very Good. Initially, we found difficulty in watching programs on this LCD tv. There is some adjustment that your eyes and mind need, when you have been watching programs on those CRT screens for years. But, within a week or 2, you will adjust to that flat screen.
Sound Quality
Very clear. You can listen clearly to what's going on your tv, while you are in the next room.
Parental Control feature lets you block channels easily by setting a password.
It has USB 2.0 port and you can connect your usb flash drives to watch movies(with MPEG
format), videos or photos.
Keeping all settings to AUTO is the best choice.
Only 1 problem found till date and that too occurs rarely, once in several months. Sometimes, TV does not start(entirely blank screen) and you have to switch off and restart. Otherwise, even at low voltages, TV keeps playing the programs fantastically.
