It’s been more than a year since we brought the then-humongous TV home. It was launched in 2022 and looked pretty overwhelming at that time. Of course, the one thing about LED TVs is that they keep improving and getting bigger. But I believe a 75-inch TV is still very large for home purposes unless you are in love with the big picture. When we bought this TV, it occupied an overwhelming presence in our drawing room. You couldn’t take your eyes off the spectacle on the wall. A 4K Ultra HD Triluminous display will do that to you. The colours are perfectly saturated and are pleasing to the eye. Before I get ahead of myself, let me present to you the
SONY BRAVIA KD-75X80K ULTRA HD(4K) 3840 X 2160 Pixel resolution.

Though the TV comes with a tabletop stand, the best place for the TV is the wall. Such a big TV would look pretty bulky and out of place on a stand(just my opinion). There are 8K TVs in the market, but the content available is so little that such a sizeable investment would be unutilized for most of the time though you can still watch 4K content on it.
You don’t realize how important a voice remote is until you search for content on YouTube. Typing on the screen by selecting each character with the remote is a pain on any smart TV but the voice remote turned out to be a blessing in this regard. This TV has opened up vistas of great content on the net, especially if you love watching nature, space exploration, and tourism videos.
The sound output is comparatively good considering it’s a flat LED TV and you can only have so much space for speakers. But the Dolby Atmos surround does the job in most cases. If you are a deep bass lover, then you need to get external speakers or a home theatre to get the most out of music. We have done just that connecting the TV to external speakers with good bass output through Bluetooth. Though we have an Airtel Full HD service, I generally use the TV over WIFI to browse the net to watch some great content.
Right from delivery to installation was a breeze including connecting to various Bluetooth and WIFI devices such as various mobiles, Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard. I haven’t yet connected my laptop but I have no reason to believe there will be any hitch.
There is an option to attach a camera(Bravia Camera). The TV has two built-in applications to support video calls and other interactive requirements. I prefer to connect my mobile phone to the TV to chat on WhatsApp or any other site in case all the family members want to join in.
I, and the entire family are quite satisfied with the performance of this TV and are happy we made the right choice. It’s been more than a year and the TV is running without any hassles, touchwood.
Sony products, though a little expensive, give you peace of mind. Again, it’s a matter of choice, some might prefer a Samsung, an LG, or some other brand that may give better bang for the buck.
On a scale of 10, I would rate this TV at 8. I would have rated 9 but for the higher cost of the TV.
