My musical jouney started with Old(valve) radio, then came Gramophone(two in one - Radio and Record player) from HMV, next was casset player. In the year 1986 bought first Sonodyne product Jet Line Stereo amplifier and SX 500 Speaker(Still in working condition). In 2000, I changed the amplifier with a more powerful one, got a second hand(Sonodynee) from one of friend.
Finally in the year 2002 went for 2.1 system comprised of two Genie speaker and a woofer, but my eyes were set on HT System AV300R, a 5.1 HT system. In the year 2003 after receiving my performance bonus, could not wait more for this beauty. Disposed of the 2.1 system and bought this black beauty, but the problem was the matching speaker was very costly and the speaker I wanted was not available in matching impedence. So settled with a Woofer and used my old speaker for one year. By this time company modified the spaeker I wanted to 8 ohm impedence which was required for HT processor and amplifier and also bought the centre speaker. Did not install surround speaker because of space restriction in my bed room, but my two old speaker can handle that efficiently.
And now my set is complete and whenever it is on, I am in different world. To enjoy it most, do not play mp3 song, go for original CD for best effect. And if you can get original DVD, then no need to go to theater. I heard hotel california on this system(during demo) and my god, I was feeling that I am within the crowd. Never heard such effect. The next was movie Matrix and I felt bullet passing next to my ear.
After getting it home, I connected my Onida DVD, Tata Sky, my cassette deck, World Space and my PC. Watching movie on my Thomson 29" was never better. Watched many sci fi movie and sound effect was that of what you get in multiplex, so I don't need to go to theater any more. AM / FM Tuner is also available for local FM channels.

I missed only one thing, Audio output port for recording, although I can use headphone port for the same.
Comparision - I tried Pro FX, Yamaha, Klipsch and JBL. Cost of all was higher and there is no service centre for these in Jamshedpur. Sony, Samsung, LG, and Philips is no where near in sound quality although they were cheaper in price.
Problem faced: Very sensative to voltage fluctuation, must get supply thru stabliser. Although we have electric supply from Tata Steel, but that also have little fluctuation due to load and that resulted in some problem in processor circuit. On complain entire PCB was changed as it was under warranty period.
Cost - Rs. 45000(Only processor cum amplifier+ one woofer+ centre speaker+ Two Tower Speaker), without surround speaker. Add Rs. 10000 for good surround speaker.
