I ordered "Samsung 55HU8500 139.7 cm(55) 4K 3D Smart(Ultra HD) LED Television" on Feb 26th 2015. Ordered Id - 5093109103.
I got a mail on Feb 27th 2015 quoting
"We regret to inform you that there is delay in shipment of your ordered product Samsung 55HU8500 139.7 cm(55) 4K 3D Smart(Ultra HD) LED Television of order No. 5093109103 which you have recently ordered through Snapdeal.com. The product will be dispatched within 3 working days of promised date".
After a brief search over internet, I found that customers getting this mail got their orders cancelled without consent. When I called customer care on Feb 28th mentioning the same, they promised the order will not be cancelled and the product will be delivered.
On March 3rd, I got a mail saying
"You are receiving this notification because one or more items in your order have been cancelled due to non-availability of stock with our seller. We, at Snapdeal, deeply regret the inconvenience caused to a valued customer like you, and extend our heartfelt apologies."
When I called the customer care on March 3rd morning, they said they will resolve the issue.
"This is to bring into your notice that your issue has been forwarded to the team responsible and we will surely update you with the resolution at the earliest. Request number 16798044."
But there was no resolution given. I got the SD cash used for the transaction back.
I got a mail from CCAvenue saying
"This is to inform you that the merchant has initiated the refund process".
When I called the customer care again on March 3rd evening to check regarding this, they said that there is nothing more to help. You need to order the product again from snapdeal. Being done the mistake, instead of being polite, the customer care guy was harsh.
Again, The reason for cancellation is out-of-stock, why not deliver the product in the first place.
After searching more on internet, I found out there are 1000s of complaints like this. Taking order and payment from the customer and failing in going through the order.
I see the product is still available for purchase on snapdeal site, its snapdeal's responsibility to arrange for shipment of the product from a different seller. Also, the same set of mai
ls are sent to customers giving false promises and failed to keep it at the last moment.
I bought the product for Rs.31, 999.
After 2 days price was showing as Rs.1, 90, 289.
Now the price on the page is Rs.2, 03, 806.
in two days the price was increased by Rs.13, 000!

This stats are enough to say that snapdeal is definitely into scamming and tricking customers. They display false prices, recieves order and payment from customers, they keep money for 10 days and after 10 days automatically cancel the order.
