Heard a lot about this movie for past 1 month and more before its release.was enough to raise curiosity to watch the content.and after the show I understood the real slave attitude we Indians wear and the silliest importance we give to our western teachers Oscars, the only teachers from which we would love to learn and accept.

Its not an inch fault of those western teachers. Movie making is beyond the boundaries so is every art. What they have shown in Slumdog is 100% justified and I dont see it wrong. Wrong is the fact that we Indians now feel proud in getting recognition through defamation like a desperate who wants fame anyway.be it through even becoming naked in public view.

I dont even object to the west world of making a movie on our poverty, lawless society and 100% backward chaotic depcition of **India which they plainly define through five things:

1) Amitabh Bachchan 2) Riots, 3)Lawlessness, 4)Poverty and 5) Abuse of Weaker section of Society.

The pain comes when our own people like Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi stamp it correct and start giving argument of worthlessness like its the truth of India.** Bloody why do you need always the same truth to tell the world everytime when you need some oscar to feel your inferiority complex transformed into superiority one?

Can any one of here tell me with confidence and truthfulness that we, Indians, here at India, never made any better picture on the same issue in past 60 years of movie making..than these Slumdog people did?

After watching Slumdog I felt sorry for all those smiling Indian faces going to red carpet premiere of this movie and people like Irrfan Khan, Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi who were berserkingly praising the movie! These people have fallen in my eyes.

May I know for what sir? Especially when I find that lots of Indian movies did much better job than Slumdog Millionare and Rahman's Jai Ho though being a good song is not as good as his earlier compositionsof Bombay, Taal, Zubaeda or Rangeela! Then why did not the world see him for the nomination in Oscars earlier?

Slumdog is just an avrage movie where the struggle story of a slumchild Jamal Malik is told, how such children grow and pass through and how they lead life on the edge and can be blinded or amputed anyday and if girl .can be prepared for prostitution anyday!

The best part of this movie is its narration style which revolves around few simple questions of KBC and tells in actual we audiecnes that how few simple question can define the turth of life in India.

The movie has presented everything is perfect manner whatever it wanted to show.

Direction and Technicals are Superb: There is no denial that the direction has been superb. It 100% looks like any Indian masala movie. I will give high marks for narration and screenplay. So for cinematography which has been splendid. No one would have covered the giantness of garbage in mumbai that well as this movie has done. they have done excellent job is showing the chaos and filth.

Once you understand the mission of the moviemaker, you would not mind the incoherence between the various scenes of the movie where Jamal travels to various places of India, even tries to steal breads from top of the train risking his life as if breads are more appraochable in trains than in restuarents and roads! Even Mithunda movies would grumble here!

Some scenes very craftly taken from previous gangster movies made in india like Salim killing Mimin bhai and going to Javed bhai for coverage( directly from D company and Satya.even the rooftop looked the same!). The slub scenes will make u recall Dharavi movie while riots scenes from straight from Bombay.

Performance make the mark: The actual thing for which I would not have minded oscars was the performance of the children who played the role of Jamal and his brother. They were just briliant. Other actors too were great including Anil Kapoor( though I did not understand the reason of him wanting Jamal to loose KBC!).

In total Slumdog Millionare is just like any avarage movie. The hype has been created and giving it an oscars or globe only make me feel now that a prejudiced world exists here .. they will believe us Indian only when we show them our skin our poverty child abuse filth every gruesome and shocking part for a civilized world.only then you will get oscars..pick any book or movie from past.they just attest this:

Mira Nair got it for showing sexual exploitation of kids on the streets of Mumbai, or sex scavangers in Kamasutra.,Shekhar Kapur got elated by showing 30 men raping a lady one after another for with a 30 minute scene.Deepa Mehta got it for showing most possile disgusts in any society on the name of India which even none is sure if they exist even or not .be in Water or Fire.or they get praised for mocking and joking over Indian marriage and acknowledging incests in Indian family in Monsoon Wedding!Or get Bookers for by showing filth of India in Gods of Small thing or White tiger.

A nation which is perhaps oldest of world with more than 5000 years of civilization to tell, why you always need to show the world the same story of filth and poverty to win accolades? Did not you get even a single goodness to tell the world out of thsoe 5000 years of a nation which sometime back ruled the world in every aspect and was looted ruthlessly by you same guys!

this hurts more when we find that on the same topic much better movies were made in India with more heart and genuinity while you make a copy paste and get oscars!

Anyway watchable just as an avrage movie and celebratable for those who believe in getting famous by becomeing even defamed time and again with same repetitive storyline. Yes if judicious enough you will certainly understand the worth of Oscar after watching this movie and mentality of slaves.
