Just purchased modular kitchen from sleek and it is getting installed in my house as I write this. The first horror is that the measurement for the trolleys are completely incorrect. There is a gap of 5 inches from behind (from the wall) in the measurement. When you convey this to Maheshwari who is the sleek representative she states that this is OK and she would not notice the problem if this was her own kitchen cabinet. I remind her that this is my kitchen and I do not like this error in measurement. The second horror is that the loft cabinet that was ordered by me to my surprise is not a cabinet at all. The loft is made up of three different pieces of ply that are attached to the wall with a flimsy L joint.
When I ask the person doing the installation that how can a three sided structure take load of heavy item, he empathetically tell my wife that it can take load upto 50kg. However my bigger worry is that what if this loft falls on someone's head when the person is cooking, it will be a fatal accident. The idiot has no answer for this. I think Sleek Kitchen is a cheat, and I am disappointed that I have made 1.6 lacs of my hard earned money to these rascals. I want to know from this thread if others had similar problems as I am planning to take these rascals to the consumer court. I think we Indians do not take the cheats within our country to task hence we have so much corruption everywhere and companies like Sleek thrive.
If there are any like minded people who want to take Sleek to the consumer forum please let me know.
