'Avan solli adikkaruthila Ghilli , sollama adikkurithila Thirupaachi , solliyum sollama soratindu adikkathula avan Sivakaasi... ' says Director Perarasu. And now before you begin to analyse this so-called 'punch dialogue' , i'll tell you the 'story' of Sivakasi.

Nothing much . Sivakasi (Vijay) , is a mechanic (as usual). Falls in love with Hema (Asin) not before delivering a few punch dialogues on how a woman should behave. (Hmph! This did give me a few sleepless nights.) So our heroine asks our hero to fetch his parents for she wants their blessings to marry hero. And so , when the hero is finally convinced , he sets off to his village to seek for his parents. Finds out his brother (Prakash Raj) is causing trouble. Then? Nothing different , a punch dialogue here , a punch dialogue there and the hero defeats the villain and marries the heroine. Anything else? No , nothing

Now , I am not going to talk of the picturisation or screenplay or direction or the 'climax' as they are nothing different from anyother Vijay movie.

Songs. In any Vijay movie , the songs attract you for the first few days of release and then they make no difference. As usual there is Vijay with his opening song - delivering thathuvams. It was 'Machan Peru Madurey' in Madurey , 'Nee enda ooru' in Thirupacchi and now it is 'Vaada Vaada' in Sivakasi. Sounds boring? It is .

There are the usual dapankoothu songs and one 'item song' with fat nayantara bumbling around. And of course , there is one sentiment song.

Performance wise , Prakash raj , has nothing new to offer , and as usual is ''aappu vecchified'' by the hero. Asin is good, better than Trisha :) , has a not -so-bad role and dances well.

And Vijay. Dances with the heroine , bashes up the villain , gives out some punch dialogues and...nothing else.

Thalaiva , do change your style!
