A good experience . Review on Simplifly Deccan

Since the air deccan was started I was crazy to travel in that plane because of its small size and beautiful out look and appearance shown in the ads. Before that I travelled only in big boeing aircrafts. Since from child hood I used to enjoy air travel whenever I get a chance. Mostly I won't bother about the food and other in flight entertainments, what I like most is the view from the window, so, I always used to get the window seat.

That was the initial days of airdeccan I planned a trip to goa from bangalore with my wife by airdeccan. Frankly speaking the airdeccan staff at the bangalore air port were very nice. After check in we entered the waiting hall. At the same time there was an air sahara flight. So there were lot of airsahara passengers in the waiting room.

There only the problem started. Our flight time was 12.30. But only the air sahara crew were informing their passengers. But for our air deccan there was not even a single crew as well as there was no airdeccan desk. We were wondering whether we were in the right place or wrong place. Even after 12.45 there was no clue about it. So, we asked other passengers and finally the flight came at 1p.m. As soon as we entered the flight I was running for a window seat.

Luckily I got a window seat near the engine. It was very nice to see the propeller rotating. I enjoyed the scene very much. That humming sound was wonderful.

After half an hour journey, I think we were flying over badra river, I went to toilet. There I saw the pilot standing and chatting with the airhostess and one flight attendant. I

Immediately I got a temptation to ask the pilot to have a look at the cockpit. But suddenly I didn't know how to ask, I was little bit nervous. So, I thought ok let me ask after finishing my nature call. When I came out of the toilet that pilot had gone. So, I reluctantly asked the flight attendant whether will they allow me inside the cockpit.

Suddenly came the reply with smiling face, the flight attendant told me that sir, we are going to descend now, so pilot will be busy and we should not disturb him. I turned towards the air hostess (a girl) she too said the same. I was wondering it is hardly half an hour since we are airborne. Still another one hour journey is there so how came they are telling like this. How can he plan a descend now.

That too they repeated 2 or 3 times that sir, we are nearing goa so pilot is going to land the flight so we cant allow you inside the cockpit.

I could'nt tell anything , I just returned to my seat. After some time I realized that they told lie and I felt hurt. Instead they could have told me that passengers are not allowed inside the cockpit or they could have taken me inside the cockpit and shown me for a minute or two. Instead they were telling utter lie.which I didnt expect from air crew.

The other negative point in airdeccan was selling the snacks. Really it looks horrible. Seeing a girl moving the trolley and selling for rs .10 or 20. It doesn't make any sense. I felt embarrased when that air hostess told me that sir, there is no change. Whom should I ask for change.

It was like begging.instead the airline could have easily added some 100 or 200 bucks in my air ticket and given me a free water bottle and a snack. The inflight magazine was ok.they can add some information about turboprops and airline history I think. Rest of the things were good.

Last but not least, dont miss the view of goa hills and the magnificent arabic sea and its scenic beaches while landing and take off in the goa dambolin international airport.
