I have had 3 experiences of shopping with Indiatimes.com
Experience 1
Ordered cakes and flowers for someone outstation - they received pathetic quality cake that was smelling and the flowers were also not what were shown. On complaining, I was told that it may have been due to the vendor and they will kick the vendor out and hire new one.
Experience 2
I ordered a few gift items for a new-born baby. The toys that were shown Vs. the toys that were delivered had huge difference in quality. The same toys that I bought for about Rs. 1200 from the website would have been bought for Rs. 400 or less.
Experience 3
Recently shopping.Indiatimes.com had a very sexy looking advertisement about a product that emits ultra-violet lights to ward off the mosquitoes. The product had nice images and photos and looked very promising as we had seen other similar devices emitting ultra-violet light and killing flies and mosquitoes. Hence, I ordered those. I received the order 6 days after placing it and the item is a cheap Chinese built product which just doesn’t work at all. It is a SCAM that Indiatimes.com is running in connivance with few vendors. I wrote to Indiatimes.com about this and asked for a return and refund and as usual they have diplomatically denied it.
After having 3 bad experiences with them, I will recommend that you check some others out like Flipkart.com. Shopping from Indiatimes.com is totally unsafe and scam ridden.
