First ever time I ordered something on shoppers stop online. My experience is summarised below:


1.Their website has bugs. It is frustrating that the back button does not take you to where you started. Each time you have to start all over.


2.Ordered 3 items on October 29th, 2018. One was canceled by them. One delivered on time and the other one got stuck badly. After my half a dozen emails to their customer care and a final followup call, it was delivered on 17th Nov.


3.Their courier tie-up with Ecomexpress is a total chaos. The package arrived the destination(Coimbatore) on 6th Nov. They mentioned on their tracking info that delivery was attempted and failed as the customer was not available. A total bluff. They never established contact with me.


4.Spoke to the courier's corporate office at Bangalore and asked for their Coimbatore office. The personnel who picked up the phone said it would be delivered but refused to part with a phone number at Coimbatore for reason known only to himself. Later it transpired that the courier is operating at Coimbatore without an office!


5.Shoppersstop customer care wrote standard and hackneyed replies without committing themselves to resolve the issue. After all my frantic emails I expected at least one telephone call from them but was disappointed as there was none.


6.In every mail response, their customer care said it is not the usual service of Shoppersstop sounding as though I was imagining some complaint.


7.Overall not a nice feeling shopping online with Shoppers Stop. I would like to read Shoppersstop as either Sloppy Service OR Stop Shopping.


8.Last but not least. Someone from Shoppersstop called soon after they canceled one of the items(and processing the refund) to say that my account will be credited with Rs.200 in 3 working days to enable me to place a repeat order. Till date no such credit in my account!
