Shoppers Stop has branches in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, the most recent in Pune city but it has been most successful in “amchi Mumbai”. Starting off as merely a clothes shop few years back, it has grown phenomenally and now has the latest and best in clothes be it formals or informals, Indian or western, accessories, shoes, perfumes, books and so on, u name it its all there at SS so your days of running from one shop to the other looking for things is over! The Store has also started making its own range of products like clothes, accessories, cutlery, shoes under the brand name “STOP”. You can also have a snack at the stores restaurant “Bombay Blue” after a hard day of shopping.
When a customer has shopped over a 1000 rupees you become a “First Citizen” member. There are 2 levels to this club silver and gold. Once you are a member every purchase you make earns you points and once you’ve accumulated enough points you win free gifts and packages! My dad has been a FC member for the past 1year and we’ve already won a trip to Singapore! Every member is also sent a monthly magazine “First Update” which informs customers about the current happenings, offerings at the store.
The most exciting feature of the store is the SS festival Parikrama now in its 4th year. It is held in the month of august. This event is held in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad in the past celebrating the best India has to offer and showcasing the works of artistes from various parts of the country, ethnic merchandise, artifacts and much more. Customers have a wide variety of merchandise to choose from and of course mouth watering delicacies from around the world are also present. A la fin a truly Indian experience at its hilt!
All these highlights and more is what makes SS an ideal stop for shoppers and a personal favourite of mine. It’s the best store in Mumbai as far as affordable and quality shopping goes catering to the needs of all ages.
